Jaitley to visit Jammu on Apr 12

JAMMU, Mar 28: State BJP will have a new hi-tech office complex named as Shyama Prasad Mookerjee Bhawan at Trikuta Nagar, which will be inaugurated on April 12.
Constructed at a cost of nearly Rs two crore, the new office will be inaugurated by the Finance Minister, Arun Jaitely who will be accompanied by Union Minister of State in PMO, Dr Jitendra Singh.
According to party sources, Jaitley will reach here in the morning of April 12 along with Dr Singh and will straightaway visit Trikuta Nagar for inauguration of Mookerjee Bhawan.
The new hi- tech office of the State BJP will be first of its kind in North India. The four storied office complex comprises of one floor for office block, one floor for media having all latest hi- tech facilities, one auditorium having a capacity for about 300 people for official functions and one residential floor.
The residential floor will consist of a dormitory, three suits and some rooms for staying of party guests coming from Delhi and other parts of country from time to time to participate in party functions.
The building also have eight cabins, eight rooms and other facilities.
Constructed over two kanals of land, the foundation stone of the Mookerjee Bhawan was laid on July 12, 2012 by Jaitley and Ram Lal, national general secretary (Org) and the Bhawan was constructed in three years.
After the inauguration of the Bhawan on April 12 the State BJP Office will shift to this place while the district office of Jammu will continue to remain at Pt. Prem Nath Dogra Bhawan Kachi Chawni.
Sources said the office was  ready for inauguration but party leadership wanted that it should be inaugurated in Navratras which is considered a good omen.
Sources said prior to his visit to Jammu on April 12, Dr Jitendra Singh will also visit Jammu on April 3 to participate in two days BJP State Executive meet during its concluding session.
The meet will begin on April 2 evening and it will conclude on April 3.
