Jaitley warns Pakistan of dire consequences

NEW DELHI :  Defence Minister Arun Jaitley today warned Pakistan of dire consequences if it continued to indulge in ceasefire violations along the border in Jammu and Kashmir.
“I can tell you if Pakistan continues to indulge in adventurism, this adventurism will become unaffordable  (for it),” he told reporters here.
Mr Jaitley said Pakistan had been continuously indulging in ceasefire violations along the International Border (IB) and the Line of Control (LOC), resulting in the death of innocent people.    India, he said, was a responsible nation. At the same time, the Indian forces were taking every step to defend the nation and its people.
Pakistan must understand that the response “Our forces” would give to Pakistani aggression would be effective. “Pakistan will have to pay a heavy price’ for what it was doing, the Defence Minister said.
He was of the view that Pakistan was violating the ceasefire with the specific purpose of enabling infiltration from its side. This was amply clear from the fact that many intruders had also died in the border escalation.
