JAK Ex-Servicemen Cooperative Board holds meet

JAMMU, Mar 28: A meeting of JAK Ex-Servicemen Cooperative Board was held here today, wherein its Chairman Major General Goverdhan Singh Jamwal informed the veterans that Chief Minister Omar Abdullah had assured him during a meeting held recently that Government is ready to support the modernization, expansion and diversification of the Sainik Vanaspati Factory of Ex-Servicemen Cooperative at Bari Brahmana.
Since it has already been approved by the Board to manage it professionally, they are hoping to see it going into production this year which will produce 50 tons refined oil and 30 tons mustard oil per day providing employment to 200 people directly with over a 1000 indirectly, Chairman said.
The meeting was attended by the elected Directors including Capt Narayan Singh. All the Government Directors including S S Sasan, Director Planning and J S Choudhary, Regional Director, NCDC Chandigarh, assured full support of NCDC once the J&K Government recommends it.
