“Very soon, e-Offices shall become a norm of the day in each and every office working in the UT of Jammu & Kashmir which shall bring total transparency, swiftness, cost-cutting and quick disposal of files and office work,” Sharma said while speaking during 2-day Semi-Virtual Regional Conference on Replication of Good Governance Practices, held at SKICC Srinagar.
The Conference organized by Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances, Government of India in collaboration with J&K IMPARD was witnessed by officers in person as well as across the length and breadth of nation through video conferencing mode and it was inaugurated by Dr Jitendra Singh, MoS PMO in the presence of Manoj Sinha, LG J&K yesterday.
While giving an impressive presentation during Innovations Session held yesterday, CEO JaKeGA shared the wholesome historical perspective of Darbar Move wherein lakhs of files used to be physically transported between Winter and Summer Capitals of the Union Territory for years together. Amit mentioned during presentation that this bold decision taken by Administrative Council led by LG, J&K during March, 2021 to implement e-Office has brought paradigm shift in removing all these anomalies with it.
He elaborated that with the successful implementation of e-Office in all departments of Civil Secretariat, e-Files are smoothly moving between both the Civil Secretariats located in Jammu and Srinagar as Physical Files of all the departments has been scanned and proper hand holding training has been given several times to all the officers/officials working through it.
He further mentioned that e-Office has been successfully implemented in both Divisional Commissioner Offices and all 20 Deputy Commissioner Offices of J&K and all these offices like Civil Secretariat have gone towards paperless working.
