JAMMU, May 7: The strike of JAKFED employees entered the 8th consecutive day here today.
The agitation was launched under the banner of JAKFED Employees Welfare Association for the pending demands of the employees. The Association alleged that the Management of the JAKFED did not pay any heed towards the genuine issues of the employees including 6th Pay Commission implementation and SRO 43. They continued their day long dharna at the main office of the JAKFED here.
Meanwhile, a deputation of the Association met the Dy Chief Minister Tara Chand here today and projected their issues. The DyCM gave patient hearing and assured them that their genuine issues will be addressed at the earliest.
The agitating employees further decided that from tomorrow onwards (May 8), they will come out on the roads in the shape of procession continuously, if their demands are not conceded at the earliest.
