Jambu Lochan Civil Society submits memo to DyCM

JAMMU, Nov 28: The members of Jambu Lochan Civil Society met Deputy Chief Minister Dr Nirmal Singh and submitted a memorandum of demands.
The members apprised Deputy Chief Minister about the problems being faced by them including traffic chaos on Talab Tillo and Akhnoor road due to unauthorized rehries, rash and negligent driving by mini-buses drivers, use of pressure horns along with high volume music, remodeling of existing canal from Pacca Gharat to Talab Tillo Chowk to ensure smooth flow of traffic, clearance of all rotaries from commercial passenger vehicles, etc.
They demanded installation of speed governors in all the commercial vehicles to avoid rash driving, to check nuisance created by tractors trolleys carrying building material, plying of smart buses in place of mini buses, shifting of electric poles from Kamla Palace to Poonch House to facilitate widening of link road, shifting of electric poles from Jewel Chowk to Bohri to increase road width and construction of rotary at Canal head, upgradation of T3 feeder power station, deployment of CRPF personnel to regulate traffic system, connectivity of 4th Tawi Bridge with Talab Tillo area through Vikas Lane, Sub District Hospital at Poonch House, etc.
Deputy Chief Minister gave patient hearing to the issues raised by the members of Jambu Lochan Civil Society and assured them of early redressal.
The participants in the deputation were Rajesh Thakur, Kamal Singh, Parneesh Mahajan, KS Katoch, Ranjeev Ahluwalia, Veena Rathore, Gurvinder Kour Bhatia, Sham Lal Sharma, Rajesh Uppal, TC Bhagat, Ravi Razdan, Shiv Kumar Sharma and Tarun Uppal.
