Srinagar May 7: Hamdard Institute of International Studies at Jamia Hamdard, New Delhi, has launched a flagship undergraduate program dedicated to the study and research within the knowledge domain of international studies, global politics, and world affairs for the academic year 2024-25.
The BA course has been initiated following the ongoing growth of its MA program in International Studies.
In a handout issued here, the University stated that the newly introduced program titled B.A. (International Studies and Global Politics) is a four-year undergraduate program (FYUGP), spanning eight semesters, with multiple exit-entry options at the end of each year.
“This gives students the option to obtain a UG certificate, UG diploma, and UG degree at the end of the first, second, and third year, respectively, provided they attain the minimum credits as stipulated in the National Education Policy of 2020,” the statement reads.
It further mentioned that students interested in further studies after a three-year UG degree can opt to study for their fourth year.
“With this, students can obtain an honors degree or an honors degree with research in the field of International Studies, depending on whether they submit a research project or dissertation,” it said.
“The undergraduate program in International Studies aims to create graduates informed in important aspects of world politics,” the handout reads.
The inaugural batch will accommodate 60 students, with an annual tuition fee of Rs 50,000. For further information about eligibility, application details, admission procedures, and other inquiries, the same will be available on its official website.
