JAMMU, Oct 14: The Jammu district has achieved 100 percent vaccination of 1st dose in 18+ category and crossed 50 percent vaccination of 2nd dose so far.
CMO Jammu, Dr J P Singh said that this achievement could be made with the strenuous efforts of the entire staff involved in the vaccination exercise across Jammu district. He stressed upon all Health care workers to gear up for 2 yrs to 18 yrs Covid-19 vaccination with same dedication and devotion when launched.
Dr Jamwal appealed to the general masses who are not vaccinated to get themselves vaccinated soon in 18 plus category. He also urged upon all the persons even who have been vaccinated to follow Covid appropriate behavior strictly.
Meanwhile, celebration of achieving target of 100 crore vaccination in India and achieving 100 pc vaccination of 18 plus first dose category in UT of J&K and achievement of 100 percent vaccination of 18 plus in District Jammu was held at UPHC Shastri Nagar Jammu.
Director Health Services Jammu, Dr Renu Sharma was the chief guest on the occasion. Besides others CMO Jammu Dr JP Singh, Dy CMO Dr Poonam Sethi and DIO, Dr Ambika were also present. Certificates of appreciation were distributed among healthcare workers for their excellent work in Covid-19 vaccination programme.
