Jammu admn interacts with civil society members

JAMMU, July 9:   Civil society members of Jammu today sought stringent measures to keep check on drug menace and the perpetrators at meeting with the district administration.
They demanded an effective solution to the rising problem while interacting with the team of senior officers led by Deputy Commissioner, Ramesh Kumar.
Also present were SSP Jammu, Vivek Gupta and ADC Arun Manhas.
The DC listened to the demands and issues raised by a group of around 50 civil society members representing various social, political and religious organizations.
They also conveyed their concern over delay in completion of development projects including artificial lake downstream old Tawi Bridge and proposed   flyover from Jewel to Rehari and others.
The issue of settlement of Rohingyas in the city and its consequences was also debated.
Those present in the meeting also shared grief over loss of lives and property of the natives of border villages of Jammu in Pakistan shelling.
