JAMMU, May 28: Agriculture Technocrats of Jammu Division have expressed their strong resentments and protest against the ‘unconstitutional’ decision of Director Agriculture, Kashmir in conducting DPC of Agriculture Extension Assistants of Kashmir Division only without taking candidates of Jammu Division on board.
A delegation of the Jammu division Agriculture Technocrats, led by president of Jammu Kashmir Agriculture Technocrats Association (JKATA), Surinder Radotra took up the matter with Director Agriculture Jammu and enquired about the conduct of DPC of Agriculture Technocrats AEA’s of only Kashmir division even as the post of JAEO is of UT cadre.
“Despite being the member of DPC committee, Director Jammu was unaware of the orders issued by Director Agriculture Jammu,” claimed Mr Radotra, adding that the DPC orders issued by Kashmir is their fourth attempt to vitiate the atmosphere of entire Agriculture Department with their malicious attitude full of regional discrimination.
“Director Agriculture Kashmir has once again mischievously released DPC list of 147 Agriculture Extension Assistants to the higher state cadre post of Junior Agriculture Extension Officer vide its order dated 25.05.2021 with a clear cut violation of SRO-442, SRO-375, SRO-723 of GAD and APD issued from time to time,” he said.
“Director Agriculture Kashmir has by-passed the recommendations of promotion committee formulated on the basis of Govt order No 150-JK (Agri) of 2020 dated 07.08.2020. The said committee has already submitted its recommendations vide no CAD/2020-21/AEA/JFAO/159-163 dated 02.03.2021. The post of JAEO, carrying the pay level 6E of Rs 35900-113500 is a UT level post and very recently in terms of SRO 732 dated 25-10-2019 and SRO-723 dated 25.10.2019, 1391 and 45 numbers of posts of JAEO have been declared as UT cadre posts of J&K (UT) and Ladakh (UT) respectively,” explained Mr Radotra.
He announced that JKATA would soon apprise Lt Governor Manoj Sinha about their concern with a request to intervene in the matter and pass on necessary instruction to the concerned to quash the unconstitutional promotion of Kashmir cadre. He reiterated that the process of DPC of Agriculture Technocrats of AEA cadre should be conducted for both the regions as per sprits of SRO-375 of 2010 based on inter UT seniority of J&K Cadre.
