JAMMU, Mar 17: Jammu has many pleasant surprises for the tourists post COVID-19 this season as the tourism projects launched by previous BJP Government have been completed placing amazing destinations at the disposal of visitors for unraveling the splendid beauty and mystical secrets of the region to satiate their travelling appetite fully.
This was stated by BJP vice president, Yudhvir Sethi after re-launch of Jammu Darshan Bus service which he flagged off here, today to give boost to tourism sector post COVID-19 pandemic. Baldev Khullar, owner of Bus Service; Gyan Sharma, in charge Operation of Jammu Darshan and Ashutosh Gupta, BJP’s Transport Cell convenor also accompanied the troupe and gave meaningful tips for enhancing local tourism prospects.
Sethi also accompanied the group of travel agents and other stakeholders in the bus ride towards Suchetgarh Border, which has been developed as a major tourist destination by the previous BJP Government along with several other places of tourist interests including Peer Kho Temple, Jia Pota Ghat Akhnoor, Ropeways at Jammu and Patnitop, etc.
Interacting with media persons, Sethi said that Jammu’s tourist infrastructure has been drastically revamped during the tenure of BJP Government with former Minister Priya Sethi taking the lead in the initiative. He said that light and sound show edifice envisioned by the aforesaid BJP leaders is also ready for the tourists and will soon see the light of the day. He said that today’s launch of Garud Seva is exclusively meant for propagating message across different states and UTs that Jammu has invigorated all its resources to restart tourist activities with a boom and this is the time to visit the places with families and friends, and have a memorable time.
Advising to add places like Bawe Wali Mata temple, Raghunath temple, Peerkho Shrine, Bagh e Bahu, Jammu Ropeway, Dogra Heritage Jammu Palaces, Balidan Stambh, Jia Pota Ghats at Akhnoor, etc in their itineraries, Yudhvir Sethi said that there is lot more in Jammu which has the potential to mesmerize visitors and devotees and can be explored by one and all after visiting this beautiful ‘city of temples’. He informed that the Jammu Darshan Bus will have regular service to Suchetgarh Border. He said that this bus service will help in boosting tourism and improving the economy of the region.
