Jammu artists display art in International Kala Mela

JAMMU, Jan 27: Four senior and well known artists of Jammu displayed their art in the 1st International Kala Mela organized by Lalit Kala Akademi, New Delhi in collaboration with Indira Gandhi National Centre for Arts (IGNCA) at New Delhi recently.
The Akademi had made arrangements by allotting stalls to various organizations, groups and individuals to display their art forms in the first ever event by Lalit Kala Akademi in the country.
The artists from Jammu who participated in the event included ND Jamwal, TS Batra, Jang S Verman and OP Sharma. The other artists, who participated included VS Rahi and Saquib from New Delhi, Kulwant Singh Gill and Dharminder Sharma from Amritsar and Pratibha Singh from Lucknow.
The works of these artists reflected different styles and genre of art being practiced in the country. All the artists from Jammu are well known for their artistic pursuits in the field of art for decades and have participated in various art exhibitions, camps and workshops at international, national and State levels.
The exhibition is being curated by OP Sharma, Director, Jammu and Kashmir Centre for Creative Arts (JKCCA), Jammu.
