JAMMU, Aug 20: The Jammu Central Mahajan Sabha today held a meeting under the stewardship of its President Romesh Chander Gupta to approve financial assistance for widows, students, and needy community members.
As per a statement, a total of Rs 3, 22, 500 was distributed to 215 beneficiaries.
Gupta urged the community to actively support those in need, while Senior Vice-President Shiv Partap Gupta thanked the donors for their contributions.
General Secretary Sanjay Mahjan announced that existing pension holders will be verified for upcoming disbursements.
The meeting was attended by Vice-Presidents Surinder Gupta, Atul Gupta, Subash Gupta, and Dinesh Gupta, as well as Secretary Balbir Gupta, Ram Sarup Gupta, and Dr Mohan Lal Gupta, the cashier.
