Jammu cries for healing touch

Sir,
This is in reference to observations made by one  H R Phonsa in his letter to editor  “Jammu cries for healing touch ” by Mr K B Jandial on May 20.
While we all appreciate Mr Phonsa’s concern of SC/ ST/ OBC classes yet it defeats the very spirit of the article. The main purpose of  article was to focus  on  the miseries of Jammuites as a whole and not of a particular community be it elite or backward one.
Right from the independence, the Jammu people  are crying for their equal rights but the successive Govts  whether of NC, PDP and  Congress have been busy in pleasing Kashmir  region only. The Jammuites are  peace loving people and  have respect and love  for their Kashmiri brethren but at the same time need their rightful and justified ” HAQ ”
Let us not divide Jammu on community lines to give advantage to Kashmir centric leadership. We should unitedly fight for the cause  of Jammu  and first and foremost task before us is to bring back AIIMS and not allow shelving of Artifical lake project where a hefty sum has already been spent.
The entire opposition, Bar and Chamber of Commerce have come forward to retrieve once again the past glory of Jammu and we  should strengthen their hands and I for one salute them for taking up the cause of Jammu
