Jammu Distt Judiciary distributes relief material among needy

JAMMU, June 22: District Judiciary Jammu under the guidance of Sanjeev Gupta, Principal District & Sessions Judge Jammu (Chairman, District Legal Services Authority, Jammu) distributed relief material among poor and needy people across Jammu.
Judicial officers, ministerial staff and prosecution wing of District Jammu voluntarily contributed an amount of Rs 3,43,900 to distribute relief material among poor affected by the restrictions due to ongoing COVID-19 Pandemic.
The purpose of the initiative was to provide a helping hand to widows, drivers, cleaners of mini-buses, autos, potters, porters, musicians and other affected persons who were neglected and not given any type of relief by any agency.
The volunteers of District Judiciary Jammu distributed about 710 ration kits to the needy people in Kanachak, Mishriwala, Lower Muthi, Nagbani, Chatha, Bhagwati Nagar, Nowabad, Peer Mitha, Amphalla, Toph Sherkhanian, Bahu Plaza, Channi Himmat, Gorkha Nagar, Gangyal, Ratnuchak, RS Pura, New Plot, Channi Rama, Purkhoo, Satwari and other areas.
Relief kits was also distributed at SOS Home, Channi Himmat meant for mentally retarded children, Leprosy Ashram at Bhagwati Nagar, Orphanage Home and Old Age Home at Amphalla by the volunteers while following all SOPs of the Government.
Each relief kit was comprised of rice, atta, pulses, sugar, edible oil, potatoes, onions, soyabean, tea and soap.
