Jammu doctor leads Indian delegation to UK

JAMMU, Aug 30: A delegation of 62 Indian Doctors for Peace and Development (IDPD) led by Jammu based doctor, SS Soodan, National president (IDPD), has left for the United Kingdom (UK) to participate in 22nd World Congress of its affiliate International Physicians for Prevention of Nuclear War (IPPNW), to be held at University of York, UK from September 3 to 6.
The delegation includes 50 leading doctors and 12 medical students from all parts of the Country. During the Congress, prominent physicians from all over the world will deliberate on the prevention of violence and promotion of health through peace in the global society.
The sessions during the Congress will be chaired by Dr SS Soodan. The delegation also includes local senior surgeon, Dr RK Churungoo, Dr Sonali Sharma and three medical students from Jammu, Apporva Malhotra, Jasleen Kaur and Mahin Samad.
