Jammu girl’s painting exhibition in Delhi

New Delhi, Dec 4: Former Union Minister and president Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), Dr Karan Singh (MP) inaugurated the painting exhibition of a girl hailing from Duggar Pradesh (Jammu) Anuradha Rishi, at Lalit Kala Academy, Ravendra Bhawan, here this evening.
In presence of several artists and a large number of art lovers, the former Sadr-e-Riasat (J&K), Dr Singh declared the exhibition open for the general public at the Academy Bhawan. The exhibition titled “Romancing with Nature” received an over whelming response from the art lovers and the chief guest, who also hails from the Jammu and Kashmir State.
The creative work of Anuradha, daughter of  Pt Sansar Chand Baru of  Pacca Danga Jammu, a noted personality  and an ace artist of  Duggar Pradesh, depicted the paintings on the culture and traditions of Ladakh, Kashmir and Jammu region. In her recent works, she has beautifully highlighted the culture and traditions of  Gujjars, Bakerwals and Gadhis of  the State.
Dr Singh, highly appreciated the work of Anuradha Rishi and encouraged her to use her artistic skills with same dedication and zeal in projecting the J&K culture outside the State and the country. The exhibition will continue till December 10.
