JAMMU, July 24: An extra ordinary meeting of Jammu Muslim community held today under the chairmanship of Abdul Majeed, president, Muslim Federation Jammu, discussed threadbare the prevailing situation in the State in general and Kashmir valley in particular, and pledged to standby with the majority community for maintaining complete communal harmony and passed several resolutions.
The meeting resolved that Muslim Community shall ensure complete communal harmony with other social entities and majority community.
The community felt concerned over the loss of the precious human lives in Kashmir during the recent happenings and resolved that an umbrella organization of All Muslims organizations shall work under the banner of a single organization in Jammu alongwith the other communities of the region for maintaining peace, amity, tranquility and development on permanent basis for strengthening and furtherance of the welfare of Jammu region.
On this occasion Syed Amanant Ali Shah, President, Anjumen-e-Imamia Jammu, Mohammed Sharief Sartaj, President Muslim Action Committee Jammu, Prof Mohammed Asad Ullah Wani, Muslim Unity Council, Syed Kalab-e-Haider, President Hussaini Charitable Trust, Imran Qazi, President Jammu Muslim Front, Prof Shujat Ali Khan, Secretary Anjuman-e-Imamia Jammu, Shaikh Zahoor Ahmed, President Muslim Welfare Committee, Ch Akhter Hussain, Gujjar Islahi Committee, Ch Sajad Majeed, Secretary Gujjar Desh Charitable Trust, Sader, Masjid Committee Gujjar Nagar, Mushtaq Ahmed, Sadar, Masjid Committee Lakhdata Bazar Jammu, Ch Jammat Ali President Mekkah Masjid, Prof Mohammed Ayyub, Mohd Aslam Qureshi (Retd DC), Moulana Khawaja Ghulam Ahmed, Gh Ahmed Khawaja (Retd DC), Suhail Kazami Journalist and Abdul Majeed, President Muslim Federation Jammu spoke on the subject.
