Jammu people upset over BJP’s failure to address key issues: Bhalla

JAMMU, Mar 20: PCC vice president and former Minister, Raman Bhalla has alleged that BJP-PDP Government has miserably failed to address key issues of Jammu region.
While interacting with the people from Raika village of Gandhi Nagar constituency here today, Bhalla said that BJP-PDP had promised the people of the State that they have plans for changing J&K’s fortunes. Citing the need to transform core sectors including proper water supply, accurate power supply, availability of ration, Congress leader said this Government has been exposed before people. He said the people need a Government that can deliver services, boost the economy and support agriculture. The truth is that the Coalition Government has miserably failed to take the tough decisions necessary to address these key issues.
Describing PDP-BJP Govt as complete failure, Bhalla accused coalition for failing to address issues confronting people in all the three regions of the State. He said Congress Party is committed to resolve the issues confronting people and to fight against discrimination with the people. The party would continue to remain steadfast in serving the people, he said.
Taking stock of the overall socio- political situation witnessed due to ‘misrule of PDP- BJP Coalition Government, PCC leader expressed deep concern over the multiple issues confronting people in State. He condemned the attitude of PDP-BJP coalition for not being serious about the well being of the people. Hitting out at the ruling Government in the State, he accused them of callousness in providing basic facilities like drinking water and proper ration supply to the people of Jammu region.
Bhalla alleged that Jammu people are upset over BJP’s failure to address key issues of the region. “Jammu voted overwhelmingly in support of BJP party. People of the region who complain of “neglect” were hopeful that the party would restore their dignity and honour. But more than three years of the Government, the BJP has lost the trust of the people by ignoring sentiments and aspirations of people of Jammu.
