Jammu Police introduces ‘special helpline vehicle’ for females to reach destination in night hours

JAMMU: In a bid to make women feel more secure, Jammu Police on Saturday introduced ‘special helpline vehicle’ for them so that they reach to their destinations particularly in the night hours.

SSP Jammu Tejinder Singh here told reporters, “We have started woman police helpline vehicle wherein it will remain available for service from 2200 hours to 0500 hours at District Police Line”.

“The purpose of the vehicle is to ferry females to their destination provided in case either she is alone or on arrival at Railway station or Bus Stand feels insecure to ply in public transport,” said the District Police Chief. (AGENCIES)
