JAMMU, Oct 14: National Postal Week is being celebrated in Jammu Railway Mail Service (RMS) from October 9, during which a number of activities have been organized.
In this connection, an elaborate function was organized today wherein Chief Postmaster General Chandra Prakash was the chief guest while B L Pandita, Asstt Director Postal Services (BD) was also present on the occasion.
Chief Postmaster General informed the staff that during the current year, there was about 20 percent growth in traffic and revenue from mail services especially from Speed Post service. There is need to ensure that Speed Post and other mails are transmitted as fast as possible to ensure fast delivery to the public, he added.
The staff was also addressed by B L Pandita and Rattan Lal, Asstt Supdt RMS.
