JAMMU, Apr 17: Team Mask Force (TMF) has expressed concern over the scare among daily rated workers and street vendors regarding losing livelihood again if lockdown return like last year as the second wave of COVID-19 is spreading at a fast pace.
In a handout Vijay Sharma, TMF chairman claimed that scare among daily rated workers and street vendors is not misplaced as experts are predicting the second wave more deadly than the first one and chances of this wave getting weak are remote.
“PM’s Street Vendor’s Atam Nirbhar Nidhi Scheme aiming is there to help street vendors by providing them loan upto Rs. 50 lakh,” he further said adding that the purpose of this scheme was to support street vendors across the country in pandemic.
“While street vendors were benefitted in different States even in Kashmir by this scheme, not many street vendors were benefitted in Jammu region due to the alleged lackadaisical attitude of those at helm,” Sharma maintained appealing to the LG Manoj Sinha to do something for these street vendors.
