VIJAYPUR, Jan 1: Former Minister and JKPCC general secretary Manjit Singh today criticized the ruling coalition of PDP-BJP in J&K terming it “an alliance of contradictions.”
The senior Congress leader was speaking to the party workers here during monthly meeting. While listening to the grievances of the party workers, Manjit Singh said that the Congress party has been gaining ground in Jammu and Kashmir with the false agenda of the Coalition Government in the State. Singh said that both the parties have quit different ideologies and their differences have come to fore several times on many occasions.
The BJP has been exposed in Jammu with its false propagandas. “There is no development. Instead, the schools which were opened during the regime of Congress are being closed by the Education Department and from these schools, the students are being sent to other schools,” said Manjit Singh.
Huge amount meant for construction of school buildings has been locked. Many have abandoned and some left mid way. “These structures are of no use now. The Coalition Government has deprived poor people of taking education at their door step,” he alleged.
Mr Singh said Government employees in many departments are without salaries, ReT teachers have been protesting against the screening test, SPOs, Anganwari workers and daily wagers in PHE have not been regularized.
He said that the ReT teachers are being harassed on the name of screening test after five to six or more years of their service in the Education Department.
The ReTs have helped in educating poor society and remote villages of the State.
The PoK displaced persons and West Pakistani refugees have also been befooled by the BJP Government which always claimed to be the champion of Jammu. “Jammu under BJP Government has suffered adversely. Their false allegations and promises have exposed them before the people. They are only misleading the people with propagandas,” he alleged.
