JAMMU, Nov 30: Congress candidate from Jammu West Constituency, Surinder Singh Shingari, appealed the people of Jammu West to vote on the basis of merit of public service and past performance of the contesting candidates.
He said that in last elections people of Jammu posed their trust in BJP who, in turn, deceived not only the cause of Jammu West but the entire Jammu region by resorting to unfair means in Assembly.
Shingari said that as a face saving exercise, the BJP high command suspended its MLAs just to put dust in the eyes of people of Jammu for the time being. But this has proved to be a staged drama when, for the sake of election, all such actors were taken back into the party.
Eventually, these actors were not given the party tickets to wrap up the party’s deception so that innocent voter may not see it. “If the BJP is having clean hands why such actors are taken back into the party who had deceived the Jammu?” Shingari asked.
Shingari pledged that if he is given the mandate by the people of Jammu West for their service, he will leave no stone unturned to convert it in to a best constituency of the Jammu region which stands deceived by BJP so far.
He was addressing a public meeting at Ward No 8 (Rehari Chungi). He was accompanied by Vijay Sharma (Block president), Kanta Bhan, Gopal Sharma, Malagar Mal, Pardeep Kumar (Ward president), Ramesh Kumar and many others.
