Jammu West witnessed lot of development in 6 years: Sat

JAMMU, July 28: Fulfilling a long pending demand of residents of Krishna Nagar, former State president BJP Sat Sharma (CA) along with corporator Jeet Angral and Mandal president, Keshav Chopra started works of stairs at Krishna Nagar Mohalla, Ward 12. The stairs were in a dilapidated condition before and on the demands of thousands of inhabitants of the Ward, the works were taken up to provide best possible infra to the masses.
The works will be constructed under the supervision of JMC at an estimated cost of Rs 12.70 lakhs and the funds were allotted to the Corporator through JMC.
Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma said that the stairs holds a very old significance as from decades, people have been using it as a alternate route from Resham Ghar to reach Krishna Nagar, Canal Road or Jewel area and moreover hundreds of students studying in Science College, Commerce College and nearby tutorials were using this road to reach at their respective locations but the condition of the stairs were not good and created difficulties for people passing through the area so the works had to be taken up to provide relief to thousands of inhabitants of the ward and for the people passing through this area.
Sharma also stated that development done in Jammu West in the last six years is extraordinary and people witnessed an era of development in six years.
Jeet Angral appreciated the efforts of former MLA and stated the main problem in Krishna Nagar was the problem of nullah which always caused chaos in rainy season but due to proactive approach of former MLA crores of rupees were spent to streamline the nullah and now no water comes out of drains on main roads from Jewel to Canal road. Angral also stated that now the Ward is developed to its fullest and every lane and drain in the ward including sanitation is proper.
Keshav stated that all wards have been developed to its fullest with the developmental works taken up on the recommendations of former MLA and said that the remaining pending issues of public will also be taken up with the concerned authorities.
