Jammu Yatri Bhawan makes arrangements for ‘Shraadh’ rituals

Excelsior Correspondent JAMMU, Sept 4: As like the previous occasions, Jammu Yatri Bhawan Trust has made elaborate arrangements this year also for religious discourses and rituals in connection with Pitri Paksh (Shraadh), commencing from September 5, at Haridwar. “Jammu Yatri Bhawan Trust invites all its members in particulars and public in general that those who intend to perform Pitri Paksh of their late parents, friends, relatives and well wishers at Shree Ganga Ji Ghat Haridwar, may contact us for the same,” said Pawan Shastri, president of the Jammu Yatri Bhawan Trust, while addressing a press conference, here today. He added that those who are desirous to perform Pitri Paksha of their late nears and dears, but due to their unavoidable circumstances, are unable to attend personally at Haridwar to perform the same, may also contact the Trust at its central office, Mohalla Darugiran, Kanak Mandi, Jammu over mobile numbers 9419193645, 9419662100 or 9906397638. “Jammu Yatri Bhawan shall, on their behalf, arrange to perform rituals of their nears and dears as well and video clipping to this effect will be sent to them on their mobile Whats-app number,” the Shastri said. He further informed that the arrangements for Pindh in honour of one’s late ancestors and for getting blessings for the peace and prosperity of their family as well, offering of Bhoj (meals) for Brahamans and others, in keeping with the religious belief and sanctity, is being made by the Trust at its Haridwar Bhawan. “The Pindh and Brahmin Bhoj for Brahamans will be performed under the guidance of highly competent scholars / priest,” he added. Among others, the press conference was also attended by Ram Langer (treasurer) and Jatinder Aggarwal (Trustee).
