Jammu Yatri Bhawan to arrange Shraadh rituals during Pitri Paksh

JAMMU, Aug 27: Ahead of 16-day long Pitri Paksh (Shraadh), which is commencing from September 1, Jammu Yatri Bhawan Trust, has announced that like past practice, the Trust shall arrange ‘Shraadh’ rituals at the Bhawan.
Talking to media persons, here today, President of Jammu Yatri Bhawan Trust, Pawan Kumar Shastri said that like in the previous occasions, this year also, the Trust is making elaborate arrangements for religious discourses and rituals to be observed at its Haridwar Bhawan during `Pitri Paksh 2020′.
“Members of the Trust in particular and public in general who intend to perform `Shraadh’ of their late parents, friends, relatives, well wishers at Shree Ganga Ji Ghat Haridwar, may contact our Central Office Mohalla Darugiran, Kanak Mandi, Jammu over mobile numbers 9419662100, 7051122990 and 09897128391,” he said.
Pawan Shastri further informed that those who desirous to perform Shraadh of their late nearer and dearer, but due to their unavoidable circumstances are unable to attend personally at Haridwar to perform the same, may also contact. “Jammu Yatri Bhawan Trust shall on their behalf arrange to perform rituals of their nearer and dearer as well, clip to this effect may be seen on Facebook page of Jammu Yatri Bhawan Trust,” he added and informed that the Pind and Brahmin Bhoj for Brahmans will be performed under the guidance of highly competent scholars/priest.
As like previous year, management of the Jammu Yatri Bhawan Trust has also decided to pay their rich tributes to the Indian soliders/Paramilitary forces/Police forces, who laid down their lives for protecting the Indian soil against any kind of threat of enemies whether internal or external. “Jammu Yatri Bhawan Trust is making elaborate arrangements for ritual of Tarpan to be reserved at Haridwar at their own and to pray the Almighty for their salvation on the day of Amasiya falling due on 17.09.2020 for which 1008 Pinddaan at Ganga Ji Ghat shall be perfomed through highly learned Pandits. Families of the war heroes who would like to participate personally, may inform us prior so that a proper arrangement for them shall be ensured,” said Pawan Shastri.
On the occasion, Pawan Shastri also released a book, “Pitri Pujan-Pitri Karam Mahattva” published by Jammu Yatri Bhawan Trust. “The book reveals all about Pitri-Paksh, its use to humanity and those who are desirous having knowledge about Pitri-Paksh, the book will benefit them,” he said.
