JAMMU, Feb 4:A Jammu youth is among the 30 top contestants for the final of `Britain’s Best Groomed Man’ and has been looking for votes of public to get crowned.
28-year old Sourab Khajuria, who is presently putting up in United Kingdom for the last six years, has been short listed for the title after defeating thousands of entrants for the national competition.
The winner will receive a year-long modeling contract of being the face of `The Bluebeards Revenge’, a male grooming brand.
Sourab Khajuria is hoping to follow the footsteps of Scottish actor Gerard Butler, Gary Barlow and style icon David Beckham who were recently considered by the firm as best groomed celebrity in UK.
However, the competition has a more serious side as it is being held in conjunction with cancer charity Orchid to encourage more men to regularly check themselves for signs of the disease.
According to Sourab, who started modeling a few months back and has been acting in short films, he is very keen to promote the work of Orchid.
The competition was launched after a recent survey found that while men are grooming more, they are still failing to self-check for cancer, unlike women.
