JAMMU: The busiest Jewel Chowk area and commercial hub of Jammu city is all set to get a facelift with government having planned various works for its beautification.
The beautification works are being executed by the Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) on the directions of Deputy Chief Minister, Dr Nirmal Singh issued by him during a visit to the area few days back.
Dr Nirmal had asked JMC Commissioner for the beautification of the main Chowk and pathways below the fly over.
The specific works include development of green patches, installation of fountain, proper lightening and improvement of sanitation to maintain cleanliness around the area.
