Jammu’s K P Sharma is Co-Chairperson of ASSOCHAM National Council on E&C

JAMMU, May 1: Son of the soil, Kailash Pati Sharma, who is Vice-President of Schneider Electric, has been made the Co-Chairperson of ASSOCHAM National Council on Electronics & Components for India in New Delhi.
Kailash Pati Sharma has worked in Dell Computers, LG , Onida , Schneider Electric and has contributed hugely in Make In India and Digital India initiatives. He has brought about 10,000 plus jobs in India in multi- capacity by working in different roles.
Kailash Pati Sharma is also Chairman in Automation Skills Council and senior member in Govts Skill Council in India. He has been supporting JK also on many Industrial efforts and he has also initiated an electronics industry cluster in JK.
Kailash Pati Sharma said that he will do all efforts to bring Industry to JK so that manufacturing of electronics and electrical appliances and components can go high and as result JK can become self dependent on these products and jobs could be generated for our youths in J&K and Ladakh. “My vision is to set up the best Industry for solar, LED and renewable factory in Jammu and Kashmir which can become a showcase and path finder for others,” he added.
Mr Sharma is in process of creating solar experience centre in JK which will be dedicated to Govt later . Also he has vision along-with Japanese Govt and Daiki Axis for water sewerage plants for Dal lake, Vaishno Devi and AIMMS.
“As the Chamber continues to enhance its activities to support this national endeavour, key focus areas for me would be to strengthen the Chamber’s efforts in facilitating the Indian MSME sector and helping create an ecosystem for start-ups,” said Mr Kailash who also focussed that he will work with Jammu and Kashmir Assocham body under leadership of Manik Batra for working and stepping up efforts for MSME including Fee Lean training to MSME and supporting the QCI Initiatives for making JK and Ladakh MSME more productive.
He also stressed that huge efforts will be put for sharing technology and processes with MSME and even some of the MSME can be exposed to industry outside JK including visiting Schneider Electric, LG, Samsung , Luminuous , ABB etc and discussions are already on for that.
