JAMMU, Apr 4: Son of the soil K S Jamwal, Ex-Deputy Director General, Geological Survey of India has received appreciation certificate from Union Ministry of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation for his significant role in the field of geology for successful construction and commissioning of Afghan-India Friendship Dam (Salma Dam) in Herat province of Afghanistan.
Besides Salma Dam, he also rendered geotechnical advice for about 12 projects in Afghanistan. He is presently Geological Advisor for four lanning of NH21 in Himachal Pradesh. Prior to that, he also remained associated with Chenani-Nashri tunnel to supervise and review all geological works carried out by the geologists of multi-national companies.
