Srinagar, Feb 24: Aiming to enhance healthcare accessibility, the Jan Aushadhi Kendra at District Hospital Bandipora has started round-the-clock operations, offering essential medicines at discounted rates.
The initiative aims to provide affordable healthcare solutions to patients, easing their financial burden, officials said.
Medical Superintendent of District Hospital Bandipora, Dr. Masrat Iqbal Wani, stated that the launch of 24×7 services at the Jan Aushadhi Kendra will prove beneficial for patients, who previously had to rely on outside medical shops for medicines at higher prices.
“With this facility now available at the hospital, patients will get most of the prescribed medicines at discounted rates, reducing their out-of-pocket expenses and ensuring timely treatment,” he said.
The availability of medicines within the hospital premises ensures that patients no longer have to depend on external pharmacies, which often sell medicines at higher prices.
