POONCH, Apr 2: Youth National Conference (YNC) provincial president and former MLA, Ajaz Jan, today expressed serious concern over prevailing acute water crisis in Poonch Mandi area, saying the PHE Department has failed in maintaining the supply, as a result of which people were suffering.
Addressing NC workers of Mandi block, Jan assailed the PDP-BJP dispensation for betraying the people, especially those living in remote and backward areas. He said the Government seems to be invisible on ground.
Jan cautioned the coalition Government against testing the patience of people, who feel let down due to misgovernance and administrative inertia, and address to their problems, which are accumulating with each passing day. He said the Government has failed on all fronts and the promises made have proved big hoax.
On drinking water crisis, Jan said, “There is no proper tanker facility with department while water supply is completely erratic and irregular in all the areas of Mandi”. He urged the district administration to immediately intervene in the situation to give respite to masses.
