Jan visits Saujiyan areas of Poonch

POONCH Apr 1: In order to boost the public contact efforts and to listen to the grievances of common masses, provincial president of Youth NC Jammu, Ajaz Jan visited remote villages of Saujiyan of Poonch district.
He also visited Gagriyaan village where four residential structures got reduced to ashes in a tragic incident of fire breakout.
Jan was accompanied by other senior leaders of the party.
During visit, Jan met with a number of local deputations in which people put forth the demand for withdrawal of water charges besides delay in completion of road projects.
The locals further decried slow pace of process in implementation of PMAY demanding it’s expedition.
In his statement, Ajaz Jan appealed LG administration for withdrawal of water charges being applied on masses besides boosting the mechanism of Jal Shakti Department stating that Jal Shakti Department is passing through a tough time with shortage of necessary material for repair purpose.
He also called for an audit of PMAY implementation and said that a beneficiary has to move from pillar to post to get files cleared and tall claims made by officials concerned are limited to what’s App photographs only.
He also demanded for special funding package to clear all pending road projects.
During visit, Ajaz Jan also intervened in some matters and got the issues of road construction cleared.
Later, he along with party colleagues and civil society members of the area visited Gagriyaan village where an incident of fire has taken place in which four houses got reduced to ashes.
Jan called for immediate assistance to victim families under SDRF.
