JAMMU, Dec 8: The election of the president and general secretary of All Jandial Sabha shall take place at the Devasthan of Baba Sahej Nath ji, Gole, Talab Tillo on December 29.
This was decided at the meeting of the election authority of the Sabha, held here today under the chairmanship of K B Jandial, head of the 3-member election panel constituted by the executive committee of the Sabha last month. The other two members of the authority present were Ch Vidya Sagar, retired District and Session Judge and Ashwani Jandial.
The election will be held as per the provisions of the Biradari’s constitution. The nomination papers for the posts of the president and general secretary shall be received in the office of the Sabha at the Devasthan on December 17 from 3 pm to 5 pm on the prescribed form. The each candidate desirous of seeking election for either of the posts shall file nomination paper proposed by at least five respectable members of the Biradari. These papers shall be scrutinized by the Authority at 3 pm on 18 December. The date for withdrawal of the papers will be 22 December by 1 pm. Election, if required, shall be held by secret ballot votes on 29 December at the Devasthan from 8 a.m to 4 pm. The counting of votes shall take place immediately after the polling.
The formal notification shall be issued on December 10.
