JAMMU, Mar 9: The Executive Committee of All Jandial Sabha today decided to hold elections of the Sabha before 9th April and constituted a 3-member Election Commission (EC) for the purpose.
The decision to hold elections was taken during a meeting chaired by Sabha’s chief patron Justice K K Gupta and attended by the outgoing president Raman Gupta and general secretary Rakesh Jandial.
During the meeting, a 3-member Election Commission was also constituted. K B Jandial was appointed as head of the Election Commission. Two other members would be Divinder Jandial and Satish Jandial.
This follows Principal District Judge Jammu’s order of 2nd February 2024 in an appeal staying the status quo order on election of the Sabha by Sub Registrar on 5th April 2022. A formal notification inviting applications for the posts of the president and vice president of All Jandial Sabha would be invited shortly.
