Jandial Trust, SKK present cash awards to deaf & dumb students

JAMMU, Dec 20: J&K Samaj Kalian Kendra (SKK) in collaboration with Gain Devi Jandial Public Charitable Trust organized a simple function, here today to present cash awards to deaf and dumb students.
The award ceremony was organized at the School for Hearing Handicapped wherein K B Jandial (president of J&K Samaj Kalyan Kendra) presented cash awards to toppers of class 8th, 10th and 11th, Nittika Sharma, Karanjeet Singh and Fozia Shamas, respectively.
One set of these cash awards was instituted this year by the Smt Gain Devi Jandial Public Charitable Trust. Jandial is one of the three trustees of his family Trust. The other two trustees are I C Jandial and Anil Modi.
Jandial also presented cash awards to these toppers on behalf of SKK which have instituted these annual cash awards to the class toppers of BOSE examinations for the last four years to encourage students in academics.
M L Kachroo (advisor to SKK) also gave cash prizes from his pocket to these toppers to encourage them. General secretary of SKK JK Vaid, secretary H N Raina, treasurer MD Sharma, advisor Prem Gupta and Principal Roshan Bhan were also present at prize distribution ceremony.
