Janet Jackson postpones world tour

LONDON, Dec 28:  Singer Janet Jackson is postponing her world tour until next year as she is set to undergo surgery soon.
The 49-year-old star broke the news on Twitter and told her fans she needs “surgery soon” and was forced to put back her Unbreakable World Tour dates until the spring, reported Contactmusic.
Jackson did not reveal what surgery she needs, but reassured fans the dates will be rescheduled and details will be announced soon.
“Hey you guys… Happy Holidays to each and every one of you. I need you to know, I learned today, from my doctors that I must have surgery soon. It breaks my heart to tell you that I am forced to postpone the Unbreakable Tour until the spring. Every date will be rescheduled. Please hold on to your tickets. They will be honoured in a special way when the new schedule is announced.
“Please pray for me, my family and our entire company during this difficult time. There will be no further comment. I love you all so much and am ever grateful for your understanding and your love. Gon’ b alright (sic).”
Her huge tour began in August this year and was set to finish in June, 2016. The next scheduled date was 9 January (16) at the Pepsi Centre in Denver, Colorado.
It is not the first time the superstar has been hit with medical woes during her world tour – she cancelled six shows in the US in October after being told by doctors to rest her vocal cords. (PTI)
