JAMMU, May 25: The pathetic condition of Janipur-Paloura link road has been causing problems to residents of various localities.
The road was dug last year to perform some sanitation work but after the completion of the work no one from the authorities inquired about the condition of the road, which is now in deplorable condition and needs immediate blacktopping.
Residents of area pointed out that there are a few private schools in the area due to which vehicular traffic had increased but it is impossible to ply two-wheelers on this road which is full of potholes. The condition of the road is not even worth walking and it poses danger to people as many minor accidents have occurred on this road in last one year, they alleged.
People said most of the roads of the area have been blacktopped but this road has been left by the authorities for the reasons best known to them. They said within next 20-25 days, monsoon will approach J&K then they will have to watch out for potholes.
Residents appealed the PWD (R&B) authorities and the concerned MLA to look into the matter and ensure blacktopping of this road before the onset of the monsoon.
