JAMMU, Feb 6: State president of Janta Dal United today charged the State Government with failure on all fronts and said that so called elected representatives have forgotten the people, who had voted them to power.
While addressing a press conference, here today, the State JD (U) president G M Shaheen highlighted the grievances of general public in all three regions of the State, particularly in remote areas.
“People of Kargil and Ladakh are facing immense problems during this harsh winter period as the people of these divisions are lacking basic amenities due to the negligence of state Government and they are taking this matter carelessly,” Shaheen said and added said that his party would approach the suffering people of Kargil and Ladakh divisions in order to highlight their grievances and play its role in redressing these grievances.
On the occasion, the JD (U) president announced nomination of Jiyalal Verma as chairman of the party’s Parliamentary Board while Abdul Ahad Najar was appointed as the party general secretary for Jammu and Kashmir State. Shaheen said that main purpose of the reshuffle in the party was to strengthen JD (U) at grass root level.
