JAMMU, Sept 28: Twelve students of ASCOMS Nursing College Jammu have been selected by two Japanese companies for Technical Intern Training Program (TITP) jobs.
According to a spokesperson of the College, two Japanese companies namely FA Group and Blueworks International represented by Yamazaki Takao and Kakuda Tomassadamori recently visited ASCOMS Nursing College in Jammu where they spent a day with the students.
The officials of the companies selected 12 candidates out of 34 for care workers’ job. These candidates will be issued a conditional offer letter soon after which they will join their TITP Job in Japan within 6 months and will receive approximately Rs 90,000 as salary per month for next 5 years. Out of the 12 selected candidates, 7 are from Ladakh Region and 5 are from Jammu Region.
Manik Batra, Director, Batra Group said, “This is the first time any Japanese company has come to a Nursing College in J&K and recruited candidates directly from campus placement. We are in touch with more companies in Japan and more such campus placements will follow in the near future. ”
Pertinent to mention here that Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) India and the Ministry of Labour, Government of Japan, had signed a Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC) to transfer technical skills, techniques and knowledge from Japan to India appropriately and smoothly under Technical Intern Training Program (TITP).
As a part of the MoC, trained/semi-trained individuals from India will be sent to Japan for on-the-job training for a specific period, for maximum period of up to 5 years under this program. TITP allows technical intern trainees to acquire and master the skills of the Japanese industries and professions under the employment relationship for a period of 5 years.
