KATHUA, Oct 31: Reiterating his commitment to provide better civic amenities to the people, BJP MLA Jasrota, Rajiv Jasrotia today said that massive development activities will be launched in Jasrota constituency to ensure safe drinking water, better sewerage, lanes and drains and hygienic surroundings in every nook and corner of constituency.
This was stated by MLA while interacting with the people after kick-starting 12 lanes and drains at Panchayat Logate, Sahar and Kathera at the cost of 50 lacs, along with ex Sarpanch Bholli Singh, ex Sarpanch Parshotam Singh, ex Sarpanch Karan Singh.
MLA said with the starting of these works, the long pending demand of the people has been redressed, adding that necessary instructions have been given to the concerned to complete the works within stipulated time frame. He asked the people to personally monitor the quality of ongoing development works in their respective areas, stressed the need for public involvement in the developmental activities and said that without their cooperation his objective of taking Jasrota’s development tempo to new heights cannot be achieved. On this occasion, people also projected various other developmental demands which were mainly related to construction of link roads, adequate health care facilities, water/power supply, sanitation, old age/widow pension, construction of community hall etc. While responding to the demands, Jasrotia gave assurance to the people that their demands would be met soon. He said that he is broadly focusing on the development programmes for developing the constituency and uplifting the living standards of the people.
He said that Union Government led by PM Modi is working hard to strengthen the local self bodies in order to modernize the social resources. MLA maintained that participation of the people is required to identify development needs and to set priorities in integrated manner. Jasrotia said that he will continue his endeavours to meet the aspirations of the people of the Jasrota constituency despite all odd while hoping that the general masses will extend their sincere cooperation to put the constituency back on the track of development and progress. He said that J&K has been witnessing unprecedented development since the PM Modi led Government has come to power and the works which were pending since decades have been accomplished with great ease.
