KATHUA, Nov 28: Giving pace to the development activities, BJP MLA Jasrota constituency, Rajiv Jasrotia today inaugurated macadamization of road from Plan Morh to Kumbri constructed by PWD costing Rs 14.99 lac and macadamization of road from Prithvi Chak to National Highway via Bole Da Band under city and town programme costing worth Rs13 lacs.
Prominent among those present on the occasion included Retd Col Nasib Singh, Sarpanch Tirth Singh, Ram Singh, Capt (retd) Omkar Singh, Capt (retd) Jagdish, ex Naib Sarpanch Joginder, Mohinder Singh, Gurmeet Singh, Ranjeet Singh, Capt (retd) Yash Paul, Vijay, Romesh Singh, Mohan Singh, Karanveer Singh besides others.
Jasrotia during his detailed tour of the area took a detailed review of ongoing development activities. Speaking on the occasion, he said that he is keen to come up the developmental aspirations of the people from the very beginning of his political career and has done a lot for the overall development in all parts of the constituency which included works pertaining to improvement of roads, electricity, water supply, education sector, health sector and so on which shows the commitment of his leadership towards the people. He said that pending works have been taken up on priority and the people of constituency will in time bound manner see massive infrastructural change in the constituency.
Jasrotia said that blacktopping and macadamization on various road projects in the area are in progress with some works at completion stage adding that work on the rest of the roads would also be taken up soon. He further said that Union Government has initiated many micro and mega projects with special focus on upgrading road connectivity, provision of improved drinking water and power supply for better socio-economic profile of people. He said that BJP believes in “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikaas” principle and called for the active participation of public for the overall development of the constituency.
