Jasrotia kick-starts widening work of Kharote Road

KATHUA, July 26: Former Minister and MLA Kathua, Rajiv Jasrotia, today kick started widening work of five kilometer long Kharote Road at the cost of Rs 2.5 crores.
Speaking on the occasion, Jasrotia maintained that the works of roads, left pending due to change in weather conditions, have started and these works will be completed in a stipulated period time in order to provide best quality of roads to the public.
The MLA said that he is committed to provide road connectivity to every nook and corner of the constituency, besides providing basic amenities to the people of the Kathua constituency at their doorsteps. He said that the Union Government headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has provided liberal funding to the State for accelerating developmental and economic activities.
Reiterating his commitment to provide better civic amenities to all, he said that massive development activities had started across the constituency to ensure safe drinking water, better sewerage, lanes and drains and hygienic surroundings in every nook and corner of constituency.
The MLA said that he will continue his endeavors to meet the aspirations of the people of the Kathua constituency despite all odd while hoping that the general masses will extend their sincere cooperation to put the constituency back on the track of development and progress.
Listing the developmental works completed in the constituency, the MLA said that the localities which lacked all the basic facilities could today boast of concrete roads, lanes and proper drainage, besides adequate supply of safe drinking water and power supply.
Maintaining that emancipation of the suppressed sections is his prime objective, he said, it is for the first time that the social welfare schemes, earlier found only on the files are now being implemented on the ground. He said thousands of BPL families and destitute are today getting subsidized and free ration.
