Jasrotia meets Dr Jitendra, highlights developmental issues

NEW DELHI, Jan 8: MLA Jasrota, Rajiv Jasrotia here, today called on Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office, Dr Jitendra Singh and highlighted various development issues of his constituency and also projected demands to make Jasrota a Model constituency. Rajiv Jasrotia demanded upgrading PHC Dinga Amb to Trauma Hospital and expediting constructions of roads under PMGSY and water supply schemes under JJM.  MLA also projected various infrastructural projects widening of road from Barwal via Logate to Kumbri , Barnoti to Ghatti, Rajbagh to Mahabala, Chandwan to Thakur Pura . He demanded developing of play grounds in various Panchayats in Jasrota constituency and also PMGSY roads in Block Keeriya Gandyal, Kathua, Barnoti and Dinga Amb Blocks. He highlighted various flood related projects under FMBAP programme on the bank of river Ujjh Sahar Khad and Tarnach Nallah costing approximately Rs 300 crore.
He also demanded making provision of advanced life-saving equipments along with sufficient manpower i.e doctors and paramedical staff to enhance emergency services for better patient care.
MLA demanded detail survey of Kathua Railway Line Project an alternate track of this new line. He said present Railway Station is located on the outskirts of Kathua city which is not a first choice for daily commuters and for the long-distance passengers. MLA further said that project is a 17.80 km line in the Sujanpur-Budhi Section of the Pathankot-Jammu Tawi line and comprises of a full Railway Station in the Kathua city behind Ramleela Ground near Sadhu ki Boliyan and a flag station at Village Sherpur.
Jasrotia further stated that on the other hand, Kathua being located in close proximity to Punjab is being developed as an industrial hub with avenues of employment for the youth but it has not received the attention that it deserves even though the cities like Jalandhar which is hardly at two hours distance have developed as huge industrial centers. He appealed Dr Jitendra to forward this project with his recommendations to the Ministry of Railways for the inclusion of same in the Budget.
Jasrotia demanded promoting sustainable agriculture practices and enhance irrigation facilities to increase agricultural productivity by providing better resources, training and financial support to farmers so that they can adopt modern farming techniques and improve their livelihoods.
Jasrotia also demanded steps be taken to preserve its rich cultural heritage, restoring historical sites like Jasrota Fort as well as develop museums showcasing traditional art forms unique to the region.
