JAMMU, Jan 19: J&K Jatt Sabha has announced its Committee for District Jammu (Rural) during a meeting held at R.S Pura.
A handout stated that S. Manjeet Singh Jatt was announced Sabha President for the Committee while Ch. Sham Lal Matu, Jasbir Singh (Magowali), Ch. Mahinder Singh (Sai) and Sarvan Choudhary (Basti Gulab Garh) were made Senior Vice Presidents.
Mohinder Singh, S. Jaswant Singh, Balwant Choudhary, Balbir Kour, Nanak Chand and Janak Raj Choudhary were made Vice Presidents.
Ch. Rattan Lal, Yaspaul Choudhary, Sushma Choudhary, Surjeet Singh and Ashok Kumar were made General Secretaries.
Daljeet Choudhary was made Media In-charge while Ch. Tarseem Singh, Ch. Vikram Singh, Amit Kumar and Natha Ram were made Secretaries.
Demand of OBC status to the Jatt community, compensation to the farmers for the crop damage and more schemes for the border residents were raised in the meeting.
