SRINAGAR, July 20: The Haar Tchodah (Haar Chuterdashi) the birthday of Mother Goddess Jawala Ji the presiding deity was celebrated with great religious fervor and gaiety at the Shrine of Goddess at Khrew in Pampore tehsil of district Pulwama today.
Hundreds of devotees drawn from different parts of Kashmir and Jammu including army personnel participated in the celebrations. A Maha Yagya was also solemnized on the occasion which was followed by serving of Prashad to devotees.
The day -long Bhajan Kirtan was held and the celebrations started from yesterday evening. The entire shrine was fully decorated befitting the occasion. The devotees after paying obeisance at the holy temple also prayed for peace and well being of human beings as a whole.

A Samuhik Aarti was also held in the evening. Elaborate arrangements were made for the holding of function by Dharmarth Trust, local army unit, Jawala Ji Samiti and other social organizations of KPs from the area.
Another function as held at Jawala Ji temple at Gangyal organised by Jawala Ji Samiti led by its president, M K Raina. The devotees in large numbers participated in the function to pay obeisance to Goddess and sought blessings for the prosperity of the nation.
