POONCH, June 28: An Army jawan attempted suicide in his unit located in Nangi Tekri area of Mendhar today.
Official sources said that Sepoy Rjkur Ganesh of 4 Maratha Light Infantry deployed at forward location in Nangi Tekri area made suicide bid by hanging. In serious condition he was airlifted to Command Hospital Udhampur from Mendhar. The Army authorities were tight lipped over the issue but a police officer said that a case has been registered in this connection.
