POONCH, Feb 27: A soldier was injured while four others were injured when an Army vehicle rolled down into a gorge near Bhimber Gali in Mendhar area of district Poonch today.
Official sources said that mishap took place when the vehicle was moving along with few other Army vehicles in a forward location. The driver lost control in panic as a bomb was dropped by a Pakistani aircraft in the nearby forest area and vehicle was landed into a gorge at Tota Gali.
In the mishap Lance Naik, Nissar Hussain, hailing from Doda was killed on the spot while four other jawans sustained injuries and were shifted to nearby Army Hospital at BG. Two of them were later referred to Military Hospital, Rajouri.
