Jawan dies under mysterious circumstances in Sudan

SAMBA, Dec 13: Army jawan living in village Rakh Abatal Chhoni falling under the jurisdiction of Ramgarh Police Station died under suspicious circumstances in Sudan where he was posted under Operation Sadbhavana. The family and village Panchayat came to know about the same on December 7.
According to sources, a force of 20 JAK Rifles of the Indian Army had gone to Sudan, under Operation Sadbhavana of which the jawan was also a part where he died under mysterious circumstances.
The identify of the Army jawan was made as Havildar Tarsem Lal, son of late ex-soldier Ved Raj resident Rakh Abtal Chhoni and now resided in Vijaypur on permanent basis. The deceased jawan is left behind by his mother Rano Devi, wife Nishu Verma and two children, son Akash and daughter Bhumika. There is a pal of gloom in the village and family is totally shocked after hearing about the sudden death of their bread earner.
Villagers and army personnel were also present during the funeral procession of the deceased jawan and the funeral performed at Vijaypur Crematorium with all the military honours. As his son Akash lit the pyre the tears yelled from the eyes of the villagers.
The entire village is in the state of shock due to the death of the jawan. Major Pankaj Kumar of 20 JAK Rifles was also present on the occasion.
